Too much leadership and not enough management

James Womack of the Lean Enterprise Institute gave a fantastic 3-minute segment about how there’s too much leadership and not enough management. For the impatient among you, it is perfectly understandable at 2x speed. Or so I’m told because, of course, I wouldn’t watch important videos at that kind of speed, you can be sure of that. 👀

I don’t want to steal his thunder. I’ll just say that when you watch it, consider that what you currently have is the result of people responding to the incentives you’ve created. If you want something different, you’ll need to get different incentives in place.

That’s management.
